Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of Sugar

  • 1 Onion, sliced

  • Salt and Peppers

  • Large Drizzle of Olive Oil

  • Splash of Water

Instructions

  1. In a large nonstick pan, heat a large drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the sliced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and softened (8-10 minutes).

  3. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and a spalsh of water. Cook adding more splashed of water as necessary until onion is caramelized and jammy. 2-3 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Turn off heat; transfer onion to a small bowl. Wipe out pan. Enjoy.
